Van Stof tot Asse 2008
Exhibition catalog accompanying the triennial exhibition of contemporary art. Commissioned by Galerie de Ziener. Awarded with the Plantin Moretus Price 2009. The commitment to art does not end with buying a catalog. You have to carefully glue the pictures into it yourself, as a kind of artistic stillness. Yet the concept of this book arose from a functional problem. Since the photographs of the artistic interventions could only be taken a few days before the opening, an "empty" book was designed, printed and finished. The plastic cover acts as a soft shell. It closes perfectly around the thickened book when the photographs are glued in. The gold spine acts as an anachronism here.
