Welcome to posthistory was a lecture performance by cultural-philosopher Lieven De Cauter at the Kaaitheater in Brussels. 'Pessimism in theory, optimism in practice', the controversial credo of De Cauter, was designed as an in situ typographical work. Laser-cut lettering, white on white, that seemed like a good idea. The accompanying video installation was directed by Lieven De Cauter in collaboration with his students. © Lieven De Cauter & Hugo Puttaert, 2016.
